Today I realized one big mistake I made while outsourcing and building a team / systems. I read dozens of guides and at least a handful of books on the topic, so I guess most mistakes have been outmaneuvered. However this “newbie” mistake got me, resulting in at least a dozen wasted hours and many more opportunities.

Quick Introduction:

I started doing AM in November 2014 , had the first bigger profits in February 2015 , and hired the first employee in March 2015. The goal is to build a company with around 5 – 10 employees (virtual outsourced, working together online). Key factors are automation, systems and documentations, scale-ability, location independence, sell-able, not massively dependent on my presence, franchise type structure (Work the System, E-Myth Revisited). Currently we’ve got 2 / 3 employees excluding me. The end goal for me is becoming more of a Project Manager instead of being the Affiliate

This experience can help everyone trying to build a team based on systems. I’ll go into detail so if you’re not into building a team this might not be worth the time. Read carefully as this is a pretty subtle issue I discovered, you can get caught up in it without even noticing for some time.
