Can somebody explain to me the benefit of using the new Universal Smart Tracking Pixel in P202 1.7.2?

I have never even understood the point of placing a conversion pixel with your traffic source. Wouldn’t you not necessarily want your traffic source to know what keywords are working the best. Especially for traffic sources that do their own internal stuff and directly compete with their customers (yeah, LeadImpact, I’m talkin ’bout chu).

Any explanation/help is appreciated.
