The most important skill I’ve adopted is the idea of becoming a “gold miner” when it comes to reading books.

Not long ago, I was very OCD about reading every single sentence and get every little bit of information from a book. If I skipped even a word and missed some unimportant detail, I had to go back and reread… Otherwise it felt like I was missing out. I’m sure you can relate.

The truth is, it’s a huge waste of time! Think about it. How much do you actually remember after reading a book? If you remember anything at all, it will be probably just a few things.
