Let´s talk about passwords

Today I’d like to talk about a security related topic – Passwords.

It´s not directly about affiliate marketing but we all have to use passwords so I hope it will be interesting for you anyway.

We all use them and we all hate it to come up with new secure passwords again and again.

Many people nowadays use password managers like LastPass so that you don´t have to remember all passwords.
There you only have to remember a master password and all other passwords are stored in the password manager, that´s pretty convenient.
I also used LastPass but then I switched to a good, secure and totally free open source solution that I want to show you.

Before I go into details I’d like to tell a short story how I came to password managers and why it’s important to have a secure solution for your passwords.

Many years ago I switched from Windows to a Linux system, this alone increased the security already alot and I never had any issues.

My passwords were just saved in the Chrome browser, with Google sync I had them available on all my linked devices.

Then some time ago my passwords (or at least some of them) were suddenly stolen.
